What is Emotional Freedom Technique?

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is based on a new discovery regarding the body's energies. Simply stated, it is an emotional version of acupuncture, except needles aren't necessary. Instead, you stimulate well established energy meridian points on your body by tapping on them with your fingertips. The process is easy to memorize and is portable so you can do it anywhere. This common sense approach draws its power from time-honored Eastern discoveries that have been around for over 5,000 years and  Albert Einstein, who told us back in the 1920's that everything (including our bodies) is composed of energy. These ideas have been largely ignored by Western Healing Practices and that is why EFT can work where nothing else does.

EFT can help

  • Fears and anxieties related to performance like public speaking, concentration, sports, etc.
  • Phobias like the fear of heights, flying, enclosed spaces, driving, etc.
  • Emotional trauma from war experiences, physical abuse, etc.
  • Disturbing emotions like depression and anger.
  • Emotions related to addictive patterns like eating and smoking

  • Emotions related to physical conditions.

What Happens During a Session?
During an EFT session I will teach you how to tap on points on your face, upper body and hands that link to the meridians (energy pathways used acupuncture).  The tapping is carried out while you are focused on whatever the problem is or whatever physical symptoms you have.  As you focus, a disruption in your energy system occurs.  This disruption can be felt not just as an emotion but also physically as a churning in your stomach or tightness in your chest or throat.  As you tap and think about the problem the disruption is removed and you will no longer feel the negative emotion.  You won’t forget about whatever it was that caused the disruption but the effect will be neutralized and no longer a problem.

Physical pain and deep rooted behavior or beliefs can subside in minutes and the effects are often long lasting.  As every problem and person is different, there can be no set rules for how long it takes to heal but ultimately this technique can rid you of many of the emotional issues that prevent you from attaining your true potential.
